The latest event cancellations in Dallas-Fort Worth due to coronavirus

As concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus and government restrictions on group gatherings continue, more event cancellations and postponements are being announced every day in Dallas-Fort Worth. In an effort to keep you as up-to-date as possible, we'll compile a list of different announcements every week.

New and virtual events are on the uptick, so we may be able to occasionally present the regular weekly events roundup. Still, to be sure you're up to speed, you may want to check with the presenting organization or venue regarding the status of any particular event.

Fort Worth

  • Billy Bob's Texas: Due to the governor's order to close all bars, Billy Bob's has postponed a number of concerts, including Randall King (July 2), Neal McCoy (July 3), Bellamy Brothers (July 4), Mike Ryan (July 10 and 11), Roger Creager (July 17), Robert Earl Keen (July 18), Cory Morrow (July 24), and Gary Allan (July 31 and August 1).
  • Cowtown Cook-Off and Music Festival: This barbecue and music event, scheduled for August 28 and 29 at Panther Island Pavilion, has been canceled.
  • Dude Perfect: The tour by the Frisco-based trick shot masters, originally scheduled for June 14 at Dickies Arena, has been rescheduled for July 24, 2021.
  • Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra: The performances of Final Fantasy VII REMAKE, originally August 22 and 23, have been rescheduled for August 27 and 28, 2021.
  • Hyena's presents Helen Hong: This appearance by the comedian, scheduled for July 23-25, has been rescheduled for October 1-3.
  • Main St. Fort Worth Arts Festival: The annual street festival, originally scheduled for April 16-19 and then rescheduled for September 3-6, has been fully canceled. It will return in 2021.
  • Rod Stewart with Cheap Trick: This concert, scheduled for August 29 at Dickies Arena, has been rescheduled for August 20, 2021.

Arlington

  • Guns N' Roses: This concert, scheduled for August 18 at Globe Life Field, has been postponed to an undetermined date.
  • Shawn Wayans: This appearance by the comedian, scheduled for July 24 and 25 at Improv Arlington, has been canceled.
  • Theatre Arlington: The theater company has postponed its production of Damn Yankees, scheduled for August 7-30, to undetermined dates. This is the third postponement of the production.

Dallas

  • The 1975: The concert featuring the English pop rock group, originally scheduled for May 2 at Dos Equis Pavilion and postponed to an undetermined date, has been fully canceled.
  • Alanis Morissette: This concert, originally scheduled for June 14 at Dos Equis Pavilion, has been rescheduled for August 13, 2021.
  • AT&T Performing Arts Canter presents Sister Act: This theater production, scheduled for August 11-16 at Winspear Opera House, has been postponed to undetermined dates.
  • Aurora: The organization behind the large-scale biennial outdoor art event, scheduled to take place on November 7, has canceled that event and transitioned into year-round socially-distanced experiences, digital initiatives, and educational programming. More information can be found on the Aurora website.
  • Big Texas Beer Fest: This annual celebration of local and regional beer, scheduled for July 17 and 18 at Fair Park, has been rescheduled for March 26 and 27, 2021.
  • Bishop Arts Theatre Center presents Left Behind: Immigration, Ice, & the Cost of the American Dream: This community conversation, scheduled for August 15 at Bishop Arts Theatre Center, has been canceled.
  • Buddy Guy: This concert, scheduled for August 27 at House of Blues Dallas, has been canceled.
  • Chicago: The concert by the classic pop/rock band, originally scheduled for June 27 at Dos Equis Pavilion, has been rescheduled for June 26, 2021. The concert will no longer include Rick Springfield.
  • Dan + Shay: This concert, scheduled for July 31 at American Airlines Center, has been postponed to an undetermined date.
  • Dallas Guitar Festival: The annual festival celebrating everything guitar, originally scheduled in May and then rescheduled for July 31-August 2 at Dallas Market Hall, has been rescheduled again to September 25-27.
  • Gelato Festival America: This event celebrating gelato, scheduled for July 4 and 5 at Dallas Farmers Market, has been postponed to undetermined dates.
  • Harry Styles: This concert, scheduled for August 13 at American Airlines Center, has been rescheduled for September 11, 2021.
  • Janet Jackson: This concert, originally scheduled for August 3 at American Airlines Center and then postponed to an undetermined date, has been fully canceled.
  • Lady A: The group formerly known as Lady Antebellum has canceled their entire 2020 tour, including the August 28 date at Dos Equis Pavilion.
  • Nickelback: This concert, scheduled for September 3 at Dos Equis Pavilion, has been canceled.
  • Orchestra of New Spain presents On Stage with Ballet Dallas: This mixed performance event, scheduled for July 24 and 25 at Moody Performance Hall, has been canceled.
  • Perot Museum: Due to a recent spike in COVID-19 cases in Dallas County, the museum has put a pause on their planned reopening, which was to have begun on July 6 for members. They will coordinate with other downtown museums to figure out a proper time to reopen on an undetermined future date.
  • Raul Malo: This concert featuring the lead singer of The Mavericks, scheduled for August 5 at The Kessler, has been rescheduled for April 30, 2021.
  • Reckless Kelly: This concert, scheduled for July 16 at The Kessler, has been rescheduled for February 13, 2021.
  • Sam Hunt: This concert, scheduled for September 12 at Dos Equis Pavilion, has been canceled.
  • Santana and Earth, Wind & Fire: This concert, originally scheduled for July 3 at Dos Equis Pavilion, has been rescheduled for July 16, 2021.
  • Sammy Hagar: This concert, scheduled for September 2 at Dos Equis Pavilion, has been canceled.
  • Shinyribs: This concert, scheduled for July 10 at The Kessler, has been rescheduled for March 13, 2021.
  • TITAS/Dance Unbound: Command Performance: This dance event, scheduled for August 29 at Winspear Opera House, has been canceled.
  • Wynonna & Cactus: Party of TwoThis concert, scheduled for August 1 and 2 at The Kessler, has been rescheduled for March 5 and 6, 2021.

Addison

  • WaterTower Theatre: The theater organization has canceled its production of Golden Boy, scheduled for August 20-30.

Irving

  • Kidz Bop: This concert, scheduled for August 9 at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, has been rescheduled for July 8, 2021.

Richardson

  • Asleep At The Wheel: This 50th anniversary tour concert, scheduled for July 24 at Eisemann Center for the Performing Arts, has been canceled.
