Music in multiple forms will be the dominant subject in events taking place this weekend in and around Fort Worth. Choices include six concerts (two of which feature major stars), a well-known comedian, a huge rodeo competition, a double bill of opera, a symphony concert, a citywide art walk, and a punk music festival.

Florence + the Machine in concert
Florence + the Machine are touring in support of their sixth album, Everybody Scream, a Halloween release that was inspired by the path of spiritual mysticism, witchcraft, and folk horror lead singer Florence Welch experienced after needing lifesaving surgery on the 2022-2023 Dance Fever tour. The band will play at Dickies Arena.
The Cliburn presents Tessa Lark + Misha Namirovsky
Violinist Tessa Lark, a Grammy nominee and a highly acclaimed fiddler in the tradition of her native Kentucky, returns to the Cliburn Concerts stage, joined by pianist Misha Namirovsky. The duo will perform at Kimbell Art Museum.
Improv Arlington presents Marlon Wayans
Marlon Wayans is an actor, producer, comedian, writer, and director. His first-ever comedy special, Woke-ish, premiered on Netflix in 2018, and he can also be seen in the Netflix movies Sextuplets and The Curse of Bridge Hollow. In 2026, he and his brother Shawn are returning to the Scary Movie franchise for the first time in 25 years. He'll perform six times through Saturday at Improv Arlington.
PBR World Finals: Early Rounds
PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast will kick off where PBR began – the legendary Cowtown Coliseum in the Fort Worth Stockyards – with the opening rounds taking place there through Sunday. After four nights of raw grit and high-stakes riding, the world’s best riders will head into the final rounds, taking place May 14-17 at Dickies Arena, to battle for the coveted gold buckle.

The Queens: 4 Legends. 1 Stage
Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, and Stephanie Mills will come to Fort Worth as part of their co-headlining tour, The Queens: 4 Legends. 1 Stage. The concert event brings the four trailblazing icons together for a celebration of legacy, sisterhood, and timeless music. They'll perform at Dickies Arena.
Atchley Opera presents All of Us and Unbroken
Atchley Opera will present a double bill featuring two new operas by Atchley Opera Award winners, All of Us and Unbroken. In All of Us, when two unlikely defenders step in to protect a teenager, what begins as a fleeting act of courage becomes something deeper — an unexpected connection none of them were looking for. Unbroken takes place in 1950 where Milada Horáková stands trial in one of the Czechoslovak show trials. Eighteen years later, her daughter receives the letters her mother left behind — words that outlived fear, outlasted tyranny, and refused to be forgotten. The performances will take place on Friday and Saturday at Amphibian Stage.
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra presents "Brahms & Dvořák"
The acclaimed Canadian conductor Peter Oundjian will conduct "Brahms & Dvořák," which opens with a brand new orchestral work by the Grammy-winning American composer Joan Tower. The program also includes Dvořák's Cello Concerto and Brahms’ second symphony. The concert, featuring cellist Zlatomir Fung, will have three performances through Sunday at Bass Performance Hall.
Marcus King Band in concert
Blues rocker Marcus King has music in his soul, as his dad Marvin was a prominent blues guitarist in South Carolina and his grandfather was a popular musician in the region as well. Marcus has played guitar since an early age, even playing with his dad starting at age 8. He released his debut album, El Dorado, in 2020, and came back in 2022 with Young Blood. He'll play at Billy Bob's Texas in support of his 2025 album, Darling Blue.

SpeedBump Fort Worth
Local artists Claire Kennedy and Max Marshall will present the inaugural SpeedBump Fort Worth, a citywide art walk that will take place in 11 different locations across the city, including local businesses, non-traditional art spaces, and artist’s home studios. Selected locations include Grackle Art Gallery, Collective 77, Waste Not/Want Not, By Candlelight Press, Easyside, La Gran Plaza, Bryce Avenue Garage (BAG), ArtHouse East Studios, McAnthony’s Multicultural Studio and Gallery, be.so, and T.C. Oliver Apartment Studio.
Sublime's Me Gusta Festival
Ska punk band Sublime will host the Me Gusta Festival, featuring performances by them and other similar bands, including Slightly Stoopid, Iration, The Ataris, Codefendants, Long Beach Dub Allstars, and more. Attendees can also add on a craft beer tasting package to enjoy alongside the music. The event takes place at Panther Island Pavilion.
Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth presents Vadym Kholodenko
The Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth's season ends on a high note with the CMSFW Ensemble, featuring Van Cliburn gold medalist Vadym Kholodenko and a world premiere composition.The ensemble includes Kholodenko, piano; CMSFW Artistic Director Gary Levinson, violin; Jennifer Betz, violin; D.J. Cheek, viola; and Allan Steele, cello. The program includes Johannes Brahms' Violin Sonata No. 1 in G Major, Op. 78; Edward Green's Trio for Strings (world premiere); and Cesar Franck's Piano Quintet in F Minor. The concert takes place at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
William Beckmann in concert
Born and raised in the small border town of Del Rio, Texas, William Beckmann plays classic country and American roots music that was influenced by his early immersion in Mariachi and Norteño music. He delivers evocative, literate tunes, kind of like fellow Del Rio native Radney Foster, who’s helped mentor him since high school. After releasing a series of EPs, he'll play at Billy Bob's Texas in support of his 2025 debut studio album, Whiskey Lies & Alibis.
