Dixie's Tupperware Party stars Dixie Longate, the fast-talking, gum-chewing, ginger-haired Alabama gal who is bringing your grandma’s Tupperware party into the 21st century. Filled with outrageously funny tales, heartfelt accounts, audience participation, and a little bit of empowerment and homespun wisdom, the production leaves your heart a little bigger and your food a little fresher. There will be five performances through Sunday at McDavid Studio.
Chayce Beckham in concert
Country singer Chayce Beckham won the 19th season of American Idol by doing something that had never been done on the show before: Winning with an original song, "23," which Beckham had written a year before going on the reality competition. After releasing an EP in 2022, he's finally released his debut album, Bad for Me, which just came out last week. He'll play at Tannahill's Tavern & Music Hall.

Magnolia at the Modern: High & Low - John Galliano
High & Low - John Galliano is the new documentary from Academy Award winner Kevin Macdonald, charting the rise-and-fall story of fashion designer John Galliano. Galliano was widely recognized as one of the most successful names in 1990s and 2000s couture, until his career abruptly ended when he was caught on camera in 2011 hurling antisemitic and racist insults at bystanders in Paris. The film, which features conversations with Naomi Campbell, Edward Enninful, Penelope Cruz, Kate Moss, Charlize Theron, Anna Wintour, and more, will screen seven times through Sunday at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
Big Laugh Comedy presents Amanda Seales
Comedian, actress, and social justice advocate Amanda Seales has an uncanny knack for taking serious topics (racism, rape culture, sexism, police brutality, etc.) and making them relatable and interesting with humor. She combines intellectual wit, silliness, and a pop culture obsession to create her unique style of smart funny content for the stage and screens. She'll perform four times through Saturday at Big Laugh Comedy, and then screen her political comedy doc, In Amanda We Trust, on Sunday.
Tim McGraw in concert
The run that country singer Tim McGraw went on after his breakout second album, 1994's Not a Moment Too Soon, ranks among the best that the genre has seen. Over the next 27 years, McGraw went on to release 14 more albums, all but two of which came in at No. 1 on the Billboard Country charts. Although he's now an elder statesman, he still knows how to bring it in his shows, which he'll demonstrate at this concert at Dickies Arena, in support of his 2023 album, Standing Room Only.
William Beckmann in concert
Born and raised in the small border town of Del Rio, Texas, William Beckmann plays classic country and American roots music that was influenced by his early immersion in Mariachi and Norteño music. He delivers evocative, literate tunes, kind of like fellow Del Rio native Radney Foster, who’s helped mentor him since high school. He'll play at Billy Bob's Texas in support of his 2023 album, Here's to You, Here's to Me.
Saturday, April 13

Fort Worth Museum of Science and History presents "Black Cowboys: An American Story" closing day

Tyler Childers in concert
A day after Tim McGraw performs at Dickies Arena, a member of the new guard of country music will take the stage there, as well. Similar to McGraw, Tyler Childers' 2011 debut album Bottle and Bibles didn't have much impact, but his subsequent five albums, including 2023's Rustin' in the Rain, have all made the top 10 on the Billboard Country charts despite him notching only one top 10 hit so far.
Jack Ingram in concert
Over the past 25+ years, country singer Jack Ingram has become such a big part of the Texas music landscape that he's even teamed up with two other Texas celebrities — former UT football coach Mack Brown and actor Matthew McConaughey — for an annual fundraiser event in Austin. He's also released 11 albums in his career, most recently 2021's The Marfa Tapes, a collaboration with Miranda Lambert and Jon Randall. He'll play at Billy Bob's Texas.
