These are the 13 best things to do in Fort Worth this weekend
This weekend in and around Fort Worth will offer a nice variety of events for all ages. There will be a quartet of concerts, including two big ones; five theater productions, including a national tour of Broadway musical; two fun sports events in Arlington; the closing of an outdoor art exhibition; and YouTubers performing live and in person.

Greta Van Fleet in concert
Since their debut in 2012, classic rock-influenced band Greta Van Fleet has played with a bombastic, bluesy, stadium rock vibe, fusing Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, and even The Doors, something that doesn't exactly jibe with pop acts their age. Consisting of brothers Jake, Josh, and Sam Kiszka, alongside drummer Daniel Wagner, the band has released three well-received albums, including the recent Starcatcher. They'll play at Dickies Arena.
Eric Gales in concert
Blues rock guitarist Eric Gales has been a big part of the genre for over 30 years, making his official debut with 1991's The Eric Gales Band. He's gone on to release 18 more albums, including 2022's Crown, as well as performing on a host of other albums and recordings. He'll play at Tannahill's Tavern & Music Hall.

Stage West Theatre presents Summer Conservatory: The Curse of Windhollow
Stage West Theatre's 2023 Summer Conservatory will culminate in two special performances of its original show, The Curse of Windhollow, a detective mystery musical. When the Lockewood twins take on the Curse of Windhollow Creek, they must work together to solve the case before their best friend becomes the latest victim. As they unravel the mystery surrounding the curse, the two must put aside their differences and embrace their unique strengths. With the help of their friends and a supernatural ally, they must stop the true villain, save their friend's family, and protect the town. There will be two performances on Friday.
Broadway at the Bass presents The Book of Mormon
The Book of Mormon, the nine-time Tony Award-winning Best Musical, is an outrageous comedy that follows the misadventures of a mismatched pair of missionaries, sent halfway across the world to spread the Good Word. With songs that entertain and offend in equal measures, it's been a phenomenon since its debut on Broadway in 2011. There will be five performances through Sunday at Bass Performance Hall.
KWC Performing Arts presents all IN
KWC Performing Arts' latest original musical, all IN, is a mix of music, dance, and inspirational performances. They've remixed 34 years of KWC to make a fresh and vibrant world where a diverse group of young advocates amplify their voices, and the voices of those who came before them, through a fusion of sound and movement. There will be four performances through Sunday at Arts Fort Worth.
Sundown Collaborative Theatre presents Body Stories (a working title)
Body Stories is the second in Sundown’s Stories (a working title) series, in which they collect stories submitted by the community and come together to devise something completely original. The cast takes the submissions, along with many of their own stories, and weaves them into a devised piece about the highs and lows of life in a variety of diverse bodies. The production runs through August 6 at Aura Coffee in Denton.
Hip Pocket Theatre presents White Elephant
White Elephant is a meditation on transition, memory, and release. The show is presented as a series of poetic vignettes about animals, people, and objects that transform from one plane to another. Their stories come to life through puppetry, mask, movement, film, and live music. The production runs through August 20 at Hip Pocket Theatre.
Marcus King in concert
Blues rocker Marcus King has music in his soul, as his dad Marvin was a prominent blues guitarist in South Carolina and his grandfather was a popular musician in the region as well. Marcus has played guitar since an early age, even playing with his dad starting at age 8. He released his debut album, El Dorado, in 2020, and came back in 2022 with Young Blood. This concert marks his first ever appearance at Billy Bob's Texas.

Globe Life Field presents Family Field Day
At the 3rd annual Family Field Day at Globe Life Field, guests are invited directly on the field to experience a wide array of events, including a mini homerun derby, a chance to run the bases, and dozens of yard games and inflatables. Attendees will also be able to explore the ballpark with self-guided tours, meet Texas Rangers’ alumni, do a pitching challenge in the bullpen with a radar gun, and more.
Soccer Champions Tour: FC Barcelona vs. Real MadridFootball Soccer clubs FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are two of the most successful teams in European history. FC Barcelona has won 27 La Liga titles, five Champions League titles, and three FIFA Club World Cup titles. Real Madrid has been even better, with 35 La Liga titles, 14 Champions League titles, and five FIFA Club World Cup titles. They'll face off in a "friendly" match at AT&T Stadium as part of the Soccer Champions Tour.
ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd in concert
American classic rock bands ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd will play at Dickies Arena as part their first co-headlining tour, The Sharp Dressed Simple Man. The tour combines the name of two of the bands' most popular hits, ZZ Top's "Sharp Dressed Man" and Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Simple Man." ZZ Top has released 15 albums in their career, most recently 2012's La Futura, while Lynyrd Skynyrd has released 14 albums in their career, most recently 2012's Last of a Dyin' Breed. They'll be joined by special guest Uncle Kracker.

Fort Worth Botanic Garden presents "ZimSculpt" closing day
After 3 1/2 months, Sunday will be the final day to view "ZimSculpt" at Fort Worth Botanic Garden. The exhibition features more than 100 sculptures by several dozen contemporary Zimbabwean artists. As part of the exhibit, onsite sculptors will demonstrate their artistry by carving statues using chisels, hammers, files, and sandpaper to create beautiful works while guests watch and learn about the art.
Dude Perfect: Panda-Monium Tour
YouTube sensations Dude Perfect comes to Dickies Arena as part of their Panda-Monium Tour. Tyler Toney, Cody Jones, Garrett Hilbert and twins Coby and Cory Cotton will present their action-packed, family-friendly show, telling laugh-out-loud stories, getting a little messy, and competing in some big battles.
