Where to shop in Fort Worth right now: 5 women's stores to stock up for fall
With the start of fall comes the desire to shop, and Tarrant County has some new options and old favorites worth hitting this month. Just don’t call us when the credit card bill comes in.
H&M
Fast fashion fave H&M just opened a branch at Hulen Mall, its second in Fort Worth after Sundance Square, which opened earlier this year. The Swedish brand specializes in one-off designer collaborations and offers wardrobe staples at deeply discounted price points. Since first expanding into the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 2011, the retailer has quickly become a favorite among those with an eye for trends and a love of saving money.
Flirt
This boutique has a wine bar (love it), and it’s no surprise considering that it’s located on the hottest bar and nightclub strip in Fort Worth: West 7th. The clothing offered here is a curated and specially selected assortment of edgy, hip pieces, along with well-made classic wardrobe staples. With football season starting up again, customers can take advantage of Go Purple Fridays: Wear something purple into the store, and get 15 percent off one item.
Kendra Scott
The revered Texas designer believes that accessorizing shouldn't stop at jewelry, so she's launched a new line of highly pigmented nail lacquers. From eye-catching metallics to bright and vibrant jewel tones, these nail polishes are conversation starters. But you better hurry, because the hottest shades are flying off the shelves almost as soon as they arrive at the boutique.
Lauren James
With the tagline “preppy clothes for women,” Lauren James is as sweet and flirty as a brand-new pledge. Newly opened at Southlake Town Square, the Arkansas-based shop offers everything that the college coed or young professional woman needs for work and play — from comfy, sporty layering tops to simple sheath dresses.
Retrospection
As a small boutique located on University Boulevard, within walking distance of the TCU campus, it’s natural to assume that Retrospection caters exclusively to sorority gals. And you would be right. To celebrate their love for the hometown school, Retrospection is now offering student discounts on all merchandise, ranging from 15 to 30 percent, to students using the Frogsaver app.
