Here are the DFW restaurants serving celebratory dinner on New Year's Eve:

B&B Butcher's
Regular dinner menu but pre-order champagne when you make your reservation and get a 20 percent discount. 817-737-5212.

Bird Café
Four-course prix meal includes choices from black-eyed pea chow chow on sourdough, vichyssoise, grilled frisée salad, duck, seared scallop, braised short rib with snap pea and potato, buttermilk poppy cake, and spearmint soft-serve ice cream with chocolate ganache. $75, plus $35 for wine pairing. 817-332-2473.

Chef Point
Three-course menu includes choices from leek soup, arugula salad,stuffed chicken, barramundi, New York strip, truffled mashed potatoes, asparagus, and tiramisu. $100 for two includes bottle of sparkling wine. 817-656-0080.

City Works

Dee Lincoln Prime at the Star in Frisco
Head for this steakhouse at Jerry World doing a special menu with party hats and favors to ring in the New Year. Seatings are at 4 pm, 6 pm, 8 pm, and 10 pm. 214-387-3333.

Del Frisco's Grille
All four DFW locations will offer a three-course New Year's Eve menu with prosecco toast, featuring signature options including the filet duo, lobster tails, cheesesteak egg rolls, ahi tacos, and Nutella bread budding. The regular menu is also available a la carte. 3-11 pm. $45.

Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse
All three DFW locations will feature an ultra-premium four-course menu with choices from shrimp tasting, jumbo lump crab cake, Wagyu carpaccio & tuna poke, lobster bisque, Caesar salad, blue cheese wedge, bone-in ribeye, sea bass, lamb, King salmon, and desserts such as lemon cake and chocolate truffle cheesecake. Regular menu not available. 5-10 pm. $150 plus $45 for wine pairings.

Eddie V's
Celebrate in the V Lounge with a late-night menu featuring small bites, oysters, champagne, dessert bar, and midnight toast. 10 pm-1 am. 817-336-8000.

Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck
Famed chef restaurant inside the Reunion Tower ball on the Dallas skyline is doing a six-course tasting menu with "Steak and Eggs," IE Japanese A5 nigiri with Kaluga caviar, Big Eye tuna tartare, King crab and Maine lobster salad, duck confit spring roll with Perigord truffle, and A Bar N Ranch New York strip. 5-10 pm. $165, Optional wine pairing, $50. 214-571-5784.

Perry's
Three-course dinner includes choices from lobster bisque, French onion soup, wedge salad, Caesar, kale salad, bacon-wrapped filet, New York strip, ribeye, pork chop, salmon, red snapper, surf and turf pasta, chicken Oscar, or spaghetti squash primavera. Dessert choices include white chocolate cheesecake, dessert trio, or chocolate crunch. 4 pm-midnight. $60-$80. Three locations in Uptown Dallas, Frisco, and Grapevine.

Silver Fox
Featured selection includes filet mignon with lobster tail for $80. A la carte offerings include calamari, blue crab cake, beef croustade, scallops, III Forks or wedge salad, lobster bisque, filet mignon, ribeye, New York strip, Chilean sea bass, and more. 5-10 pm. Three locations in Richardson, Frisco, and Fort Worth.

Truluck's
Four-course dinner with party favors and complimentary sparkling toast at midnight. Choices iclude crab cake,ceviche, shrimp cocktail, oysters Rockefeller, tuna tartare tower, stone crab claws, lobster bisque, clam chowder, Caesar, wedge, chopped salad, blackened redfish, salmon Bearnaise, Dover sole, filet Oscar, ribeye, New York strip Bordelaise, king crab, lonbster tail, stone crab platter, carrot cake, chocolate malt cake, cheesecake, and baked Alaska. Yard House

Cheers to the top Fort Worth restaurants for brunch on New Year's Day 2019

It’s a day for a fresh start, setting new goals, or just another reason to indulge with brunch. While New Year’s Day falls on a Tuesday, there’s no shortage of local restaurants offering their typical Sunday Funday brunch best. For those who’ll need a little luck this year, there will be plenty of black-eyed peas specials, too.

These restaurants are open on New Year's Day to help you celebrate the start of 2019:

B&B Butchers & Restaurant
The high-end steakhouse will offer a “Hangover Cure Brunch” from 11 am-3 pm, with oversized “manmosas” (or mimosas served in a pilsner glass) and black-eyed peas with greens. The regular Sunday brunch menu, which features Benedicts, stuffed French toast, pancakes and waffles, will also be available.

Bird Café
While the normal weekend brunch menu won’t be offered, the Sundance Square restaurant will offer a couple brunch specials for the day starting at 11 am.

Blue Mesa
Mimosas (or straight bubbly sans the OJ) are included in this $22-per person brunch buffet. Menu items range from huevos rancheros and omelets to blue corn cheese enchiladas and black bean adobe pie. Brunch will be served from 10 am-3 pm, and children age 6 to 11 are $7.

Chef Point
The Watauga gas station restaurant will serve its weekend brunch menu from 11 am-2 pm, along with black-eyed peas all day. French toast bread pudding, monte cristo sandwiches with strawberry jam, and Chef Point’s “better than sex” fried chicken and waffles are some of the menu highlights. Or go big with the towering “bloody best” bloody Mary — a double size cocktail that comes with skewers of fried chicken, a slider, waffle fries, grilled shrimp, and bacon.

Doc B's Restaurant & Bar
The no-fuss restaurant will be open all day for lunch and dinner, serving its famous candied bacon, The Angry Meatball, shredded Brussels sprouts salad, oven roasted chicken wings, and wedge burger.

Little Red Wasp
The downtown diner will serve brunch features from 11 am all the way until 4 pm, with stick-to-your-ribs dishes like short rib Benedict with poached eggs, chilaquiles, and a chicken biscuit smothered with black pepper gravy that’s big enough to share. Don’t miss the cinnamon and sugar-tossed doughnut holes.

Mash’d
Go for $2 mimosas (which come in peach, blood orange, and blackberry, too), and something called "Bloody Mary’s Hillbilly Cousin," which is made with moonshine and is only $5. Brunch dishes range from egg lasagna — baked with layers of cheddar, sausage, and tomatoes — and caramel moonshine French toast, to a pancake so big it’s called “manhole.” Check with the restaurant directly for an opening time by this weekend, which will either be 10 am or 11 am.

Razzoo’s Cajun Café
While the lively Louisiana eatery doesn’t officially serve brunch, there will be $5 Moonshine Marys and Hair of the Dog cocktails all day. Open at 11 am.

Righteous Foods
Chew a little more wisely at this west Fort Worth restaurant, where brunch items include healthier options like acai bowls, veggie burritos, coconut chia seed pudding, and zucchini and walnut muffins. Detox from New Year’s Eve shenanigans with cold-pressed juices and drinking vinegars, or retox responsibly with organic cocktails. Brunch will start early at 9 am and run until 2 pm.

Tricky Fish
The Gulf coast-inspired Cajun seafood eatery will offer its popular weekend brunch menu from 10 am-2 pm. Visit for praline pancakes, fried shrimp and oyster grits, bananas foster monkey bread, and fried green tomatoes topped with blackened shrimp. Wash it all down with micheladas, prosecco mimosas, or tequila and grapefruit juice palomas.
