The Fort Worth Margarita Festival is happening Saturday at Panther Island Pavilion.
Rose, margaritas, and paletas are just a few of the refreshing items on the menu this week just in time for the official arrival of summer. Start the week with taco Tuesday featuring a guest chef at a local favorite Mexican restaurant.
Tuesday, June 18
Guest Chef at Tinie’s Mexican Cuisine
Taco Tuesday will feature guest chef David Hollister (formerly of Boozie’s, Wild Acre, and Dagwood’s) at Tinie’s Mexican Cuisine. Hollister will feature red chile-rubbed, 48-hour sous vide Akaushi short rib tacos with Salvadorian red cabbage tacos and avocado salsa. Starting at 4 pm until sell-out.
Paleta Eating Challenge at El Chingon
The summer eating contests have begun, this one vetting teams of two against each other to determine who can eat paletas with a partner the fastest. One person will hold the stick in their mouth while the other devours the paleta – so choose your partner wisely. The first duo to finish two paletas wins, with prizes going to the top three teams. The contest is free to enter and begins at 8 pm sharp.

Summer Sipping Series at Ellerbe Fine Foods
Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the farm-to-table pioneer has launched a summer series of spirits classes, the first of which will cover gin. The class includes a guided tasting and hands-on cocktail crafting. Tickets are $50, or $125 for all three upcoming classes, including tequila on July 17 and whiskey on August 21. Class begins at 6 pm.

Near Southside Happy Hour + Third Thursday Art Walk
Tour will first meet at Distribution Bar at 4:30 pm for a happy hour beverage, then travel as a group to visit each of the venues hosting art in South Main Village. Third Thursday is a monthly art walk in South Main Village with businesses displaying artwork from local artists from 5-9 pm from March to September. This time, the tour will forego presentations and instead focus on a walking tour of all 15 Third Thursday venues including Hao's Grocery, Pouring Glory, and The Coupe.
Crocker & Starr Wine Dinner at Paris 7th Restaurant
French fine dining restaurant will host a four-course wine pairing dinner paired with Napa Valley and Saint Helena Estate wines. Menu includes monkfish, spinach roulade, lamb chop, and apple tart. It starts at 6 pm. Reservations are $195 plus tax and gratuity. Call 817-489-5300.
Let’s Jam with Magerly Tasty Creations at Two Brothers Winery
Keller wine bar will host a unique tasting pairing wine with jams. The $35 ticket (plus tax and gratuity) includes five wines paired with five sweet and spicy jams by local Magerly Tasty Creations. The tasting begins at 6:30 pm.

Rose Wine Tasting at Roy Pope Grocery
Start Saturday with a tasting of 12 rosés from around the world at Roy Pope, which recently
rebooted with new leadership. The tasting is $25 and comes with light bites. It'll take place from 11 am–1 pm on the patio.
Fort Worth Margarita Festival
The annual festival is back at Panther Island Pavilion where margarita lovers can sample more than 10 varieties from around Fort Worth. Tickets are going fast and start at $36 for entry at 3 pm, with VIP tickets granting early entry at noon for $51. The ticket also comes with two raffle entries to win a trip to Mexico. There’ll be food trucks on site, and the event will end at 6 pm.
