The Peach Truck arrives this week just in time for the first day of summer.
The official first day of summer is this Wednesday, and there’s a summer bubbly tasting to celebrate. This week also brings the arrival of a traveling Southern peach truck (place your order now for pick-up), and a summer rosé sampling on a popular patio. End the week with a celebratory Pride brunch and market, and a pop-up brunch at a wine bar with an unexpected chef.

Summer Bubbles Wine Tasting at 3 Vino
The downtown Roanoke wine bar and bottle shop will kick off the first official day of summer with some bubbly. Get five sparkling summer wines and a cheeseboard for $30. Bottles can also be purchased to-go. The tasting will be available from 6-8 pm.

Summer Rosé Tasting at Fitzgerald
The 2023 CultureMap Tastemaker Awards' Restaurant of the Year hosts a summery rosé tasting on the patio. The $25 price includes four wine samples paired with light bites. Bottles will be available to purchase to-go. Reservations are not required, and the tasting will take place from 6-8 pm.
Sosie Wine Dinner at Waters
Chef Jon Bonnell’s downtown seafood destination will present a multicourse wine dinner paired Sonoma’s Sosie wines. Sosie co-founder Scott MacFiggen will be on-site to talk through the wine selections, which will range from sparkling rosé of Syrah to Cabernet Sauvignon. Menu highlights include prosciutto-wrapped Georges Bank scallops and pepper seared beef tenderloin. The dinner is $160, plus tax and gratuity, and starts at 7 pm. The Peach Truck Pick-Up at Jabo’s Ace Hardware
The Nashville-based Peach Truck is taking a summer tour and stops include the Jabo's Ace Ace Hardware Westcliff. Visit from 11 am-1 pm for peach-themed grilling demos, freeze-dried peach ice cream bites, and to pick up a box of freshly picked peaches. Orders should be placed online in advance to guarantee peaches, with limited extras available until sell-out. The Peach Truck will visit the Fort Worth area every Friday through August 11.

Fort Worth Margarita Festival
The annual festival will welcome margarita lovers for a Saturday afternoon of sampling at Rusty Nickel Icehouse bar and patio in South Fort Worth. The event is nearly sold out and only $75 VIP tickets remain; they grant entry at 12 noon and a sampling card good for 10 premium tequila margaritas from bars and restaurants around town, each 3.5 ounces in size. The ticket also comes with two raffles entries to win a trip to Mexico. There’ll be food trucks on site, and the event will end at 6 pm.

Annual Pride Brunch at The Bearded Lady
In honor of Pride month, The Bearded Lady hosts a brunch with Pride-themed and -colored foods, cocktails, decorations, music, and more. Pop-Up Brunch at Rancho Loma Vineyards
Chef Lee Warren will bring a taste of Cajun flavor to the South Main Street wine bar with his pop-up, a la carte brunch menu. An East Texas native, Warren mans the grill at Belknap Street biker bar Fuel 2.0 and has received local awards for his burgers. Visit from 12-3 pm.
