Whiskey Ranch will host a Fourth of July party on Saturday afternoon.
Cue the fireworks as Independence Day arrives this weekend, and, along with all the festive events, lots of restaurants are offering specials to mark America's 250th. But other tasty opportunities this week include a prestigious Napa wine pairing dinner, an after-hours event at a local pie shop, and the kick-off of an annual Christmas in July pop-up.
Tuesday, June 30
Trefethen Wine Dinner at Don Artemio
One of Napa’s most celebrated wineries, Trefethen Family Vineyards, will take center stage during this four-course pairing dinner at Don Artemio. Eclectic Mexican dishes will include diver scallop in sweet corn aguachile, jumbo shrimp in adobo pork tamal with black mole and pineapple pico de gallo, beef tenderloin with roasted bone marrow, and Mexican chocolate “hidden” cake with strawberry coulis. Dinner is $195, plus tax and gratuity, and begins at 6:30 pm.

4th of July Eve Eve Party at Crystal Springs Hideaway
The River District beer garden invites patrons to start the holiday weekend early and enjoy live music, World Cup action, and all-day specials including $6 Soggy Peso margaritas and $5 Tito’s lemonades. Other specials (until 6 pm) include $8 espresso martinis, $3 domestic drafts, $5 house wines, and $7.50 Mama’s corn dip and cowboy caviar dip. Crystal Springs is open until 10 pm.
Sweet Summer Nights at Sweet Lucy’s Pies
Sweet Lucy’s Pies is embracing warm summer nights with a new after-hours pop-up. Visit for ice cream pies in flavors including chocolate and banana split, as well as ice cream sundaes. The event will run from 5-7 pm.

Christmas in July at Harvest Hall
European-inspired food hall connected to Hotel Vin in Grapevine will launch its second annual Christmas in July pop-up at the Holly Jolly Bar. Taking place inside Third Rail, the hall’s live entertainment venue, the pop-up will feature Christmas-inspired cocktails, including the Peppermint Bark Martini and Santa on the Beach. The pop-up will run through July 31.
Saturday, July 4
Make & Take: American Cobbler, Crisp & Hand Pies at Central Market
Wow guests at your July 4th gathering with make-and-take desserts in hues of red, white, and blue. This hands-on class Central Market Cooking School Fort Worth will teach participants how to produce the perfect dough to roll out blueberry-filled hand pies, as well as biscuit-topped cherry cobbler and a gluten-free apple crisp. The class is $85 and begins at 11 am.
TX Whiskey’s Red, White and Whiskey 4th of July Celebration
Before the fireworks shoot off at night, Whiskey Ranch – home of TX Whiskey – is hosting a celebration featuring frozen whiskey cocktails, live music by Big Mike, food trucks, and limited edition commemorative Sili cups. Guests can also be among the first to experience TX Straight Bourbon Whiskey Bottle-In-Bond, hand-selected by TX Whiskey head blender and U.S. veteran Matt Davis. Tickets are $11.99 and the event will run from 12-5 pm.
