Fort Worth neighborhood favorite Landmark Bar & Kitchen finds new home
A popular Fort Worth bar and restaurant has found a new home: Landmark Bar & Kitchen, the neighborhood restaurant and bar that survived nearly a decade in the West 7th district, has relocated to the Western Center area in far north Fort Worth, at 6621 Fossil Bluff Dr., with HDTVs, cold beer, food, arcade, and backyard games.
It's a reliable formula: The first Landmark opened in the West 7th area in 2013 - a millennium in bar years - as a beloved hangout with live music, poker night, karaoke, crawfish boils.
They pride themselves on their welcoming vibe, boasting "strokes for all sort of folks" that includes nightly programming to appeal to everyone in the neighborhood: karaoke, music bingo, industry night, boozy brunch, and live music.
They probably could've stayed in West Seventh for another decade were it not for a new mixed-use project going up in Fort Worth’s Cultural District, says Sam Sameni, founder and principal of SS Hospitality Group, which owns the Landmark along with concepts like Theory Nightclub, Playground Bar, and Texas Republic.
"We would've happily stayed there, but the landlord sold the entire city block to a developer," Sameni says. "But we're embracing the opportunity to start anew, and we love our new location. The area is a multi-faceted restaurant district with close proximity to several residential neighborhoods. It serves both families and young professionals. A lot of our regulars from the original location are from this area."
The menu features bar food classics like wings, queso & chips, flatbreads, sliders, but also steak with potatoes & grilled asparagus, chicken with bowtie pasta, birria tacos, a chicken Caesar salad, and a po'boy sandwich.

In addition to games, food, cheap drinks, and a large patio, the new location comes with a must-see first: the largest TV screen in city, measuring 160 square feet. The space also has a neon sign ("I ain't here for a long time, I'm here for a good time"), and a wall with longhorns set against a herringbone pattern of wood.
“We wanted to give people in the neighborhood a new laid-back place to hang out and have fun," Sameni says. “Landmark is a special concept with good food and drink offerings and there is always something going on. We will complement the great restaurants on the block."
Other concepts nearby include Flip's Patio Grill, BoomerJack's, Sickies Garage, Shady Oaks BBQ, and a Seven Mile Cafe - none directly competing.
They'll open with a week-long round of festivities from April 29-May 4 that include $1 drinks, a large screen TV giveaway, mechanical bullriding, and a Cinco de Mayo parking lot fiesta with live music, vendors, food trucks and more.
