Original ChopShop brings salads to healthiest neighborhood in Fort Worth

Original ChopShop is known for its salads and bowls.
A restaurant chain known for its chopped salads is headed for the Fort Worth Medical District: Original ChopShop, a fast-casual chain famous for its bowls, salads, and sandwiches, will open at at 105 E. Pennsylvania Ave.
According to a release, it'll debut in late March. Strangely, the release does not give a date in March, but it gives an exact time: 10 am.
The very specific "opening day highlights" on this non-specific opening day will include free tote bags with purchase for the first 75 customers and $3 off for new app users who spend $7 or more. Also, 10 percent of opening-day proceeds will be given to Mental Health America of Greater Tarrant County.
Just keep 10 am open in all of late March if you're in it for the tote bag. (We've reached out to a restaurant spokesperson to see if they can nail down that opening day as specifically as the opening time.)
Fort Worth Medical District is the chain's third location in Tarrant County, following outposts in Alliance and Southlake.
“Opening in the Medical District places us at the center of a community built around care and well-being,” said Jason Morgan, CEO of Original ChopShop in a statement. “We want to be a go-to spot for people who need food that fits their day. Whether they are starting a shift or grabbing a quick meal on the go, guests can rely on Original ChopShop for meals that fit their routine and preferences.”
Original ChopShop is dedicated to serving affordable, authentic, all-day offerings at breakfast, lunch, snack time, and dinner, with fast service and meals made from wholesome ingredients.
The concept made its DFW debut in 2018 with a first location in Las Colinas. They were founded in Scottsdale in 2013 but relocated their headquarters to Plano in 2016. They currently have 27 locations in Phoenix, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston-College Station, Atlanta, and Tucson.
Original ChopShop's goal is healthy eating that's easily accessible while on-the-go. The core item on their menu is protein bowls, with greens, grains, and a protein. The most popular is the teriyaki chicken bowl, which can be served with choice of forbidden rice, brown rice, or sweet potato hash.
Other signature dishes include Citrus Thai Salad and Coconut Chia Pudding.
The Medical District location will be open 7 am-9pm Monday-Saturday and 7 am-8 pm Sunday.

CEO Jason Morgan says that Fort Worth has been on their to-do list.
“We have been searching for a Fort Worth location since opening our first Dallas-area Shop in 2018, and we're excited to bring our wholesome offerings to the Alliance community," Morgan says. "Even though there is already a wide range of dining options in the area, we're confident that guests will find our menu to be unique with options for Every/Body. We look forward to welcoming guests this Fall."
