Cocktail tips top 6 best food and drink events in Fort Worth this week

Messina Hof Grapevine Winery will host a "Love Potion" cocktail class.
Valentine's Day is not for another few days but that's not stopping some Fort Worth restaurants and bars from getting a head start with themed events — whether that's a class on how to make a romantic cocktail or a Galentine's social featuring everyone's favorite party guest, THC. We're also coming up on Super Bowl, and that's cause for celebration, too.

THC Sip & Social at Roy Pope Grocery
Neighborhood grocer, café, and wine bar will host a Galentine’s-themed sip-and-social featuring THC-infused beverage samples and an educational talk by Kim Flores, also known as The Hemp Housewife and a leading voice in the hemp industry. Learn about responsible consumption, the science behind cannabis beverages, and how THC products are shaping the future of social drinking. The event will run from 5–7 pm.
Love Potion Cocktail Class at Messina Hof Grapevine Winery
This hands-on cocktail class will teach participants how to create three “intoxicating” wine-based cocktail elixirs. Hors d’oeuvres included in the $40 ticket price. The class will run from 6:30–8:30 pm.

Name of the Day at Firehouse Subs
The sub sandwich chain has a special deal for guests who share names with football stars. Anyone named Cooper, Tom, Julian, Von, Nick, Peyton, Patrick, or Elican visit any Firehouse Subs location to get a buy one, get one free sub special. The deal is good in-store for delivery.
The Big Game Wings Challenge at El Chingon
Start Super Bowl Sunday with a wing-eating competition at El Chingon, home to an several wild food challenges. Teams of two will compete to see who can finish 20 wings the fastest. Prizes go to the top three plus a grand prize to the winner. Entry is free. Check in begins at 2:30 pm for a 3 pm start time. Stay for a Super Bowl watch party with a 5:30 pm kickoff.
The Big Game at Bowie House
Get in the Super Bowl spirit with a watch party in the Billet Room at Bowie House. The $55 ticket, plus tax, includes a spread of savory bites and reserved seating the hotel’s posh game room. Beverages from the bar will be available for a la carte purchase. Doors open at 4:30 pm with kickoff set for 5:30 pm.

Whether watching for the teams, commercials, or the halftime show, guests can visit the Doc B’s bar during the Super Bowl and partake in half-off all spirits and cocktails. The deal runs from 5 pm until close.
