Fort Worth raises a glass to Rodeo at fab food and wine extravaganza
It was a perfect pairing of bubbly and boots during the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo’s 2025 Bubbles & Bites food and wine extravaganza, held Sunday, February 2 at the Round Up Inn inside the Amon G. Carter Jr. Exhibits Hall.
More than 600 wine lovers attended brunch-themed sip-and-social, this year featuring winners from FWSSR’s inaugural Vine 2 Wine international wine competition held in October 2024.
Guests, decked out in their rodeo-best, were treated to unlimited wine tastings from a dozen wineries from around the world, along with gourmet bites from 15 local chefs.

Wines ranged from French Champagne to Texas Tempranillo - all winners from various categories in Vine 2 Wine, which had more than 700 entries from 10 countries. Categories included Best in Class - Sparkling, Red, and White; Top Value Wine, Best of Texoma, and Best of North Texas Region. (See the list of winners below.) The competition was judged by 35 wine experts, including industry professionals and sommeliers.
At Bubbles & Bites, a custom bronze boot was presented to Brady Vineyard of Paso Robles, California, who won the Vine 2 Wine Grand Champion award for its 2022 Brady Cabernet Franc.

The Sunday Funday event also featured a culinary competition in which guests got to vote for their favorite bite from local chefs. Participants included Don Artemio, Local Foods Kitchen, JD’s Hamburgers, Hao’s Grocery & Cafe, Funky Town Donuts, Heim BBQ, Joe T Garcia’s, Pinstripes, and Magdalena’s, who won “Best Bite” for their lamb chop taco made with guava and mint salsa, za’atar carrots, and nixtamal tortillas.
Fort Worth-based singer-songwriter Joseph Neville provided live entertainment on stage, and guests kept busy with photo ops around the room.
