Fort Worth transit fanatics have a new ride in Granbury to check out

Granbury trolley, shiny and new.
The city of Granbury has new wheels: According to a release, the Granbury Convention & Visitors Bureau will be unrolling two new trolleys which seem certain to become another new attraction for the tourist-friendly town.
The city's green trolleys have become an iconic local favorite, offering complimentary rides to residents and visitors. That's correct: You do not need to be a resident of Granbury to ride. Between the trolley and the open-air tram, more than 12,000 people enjoy a ride each year while exploring Granbury.
The two new trolleys replace the original trolley, which has been retired after years of dedicated service to the community. These two new trolleys, specially-ordered from a company called Specialty Vehicles, although smaller than the original, are designed to maintain the nostalgic look of their predecessor.
And having two instead of one will help the city during special events, says Visit Granbury director Tammy Dooley. You won't get any argument here about having more trolleys. More trolleys is a good thing.
"The addition of a second trolley will allow us to shuttle groups to locations at the same time we are running the regular scheduled route with no disruption in service," Dooley says. "The smaller size allows easier maneuverability through busy streets during festival weekends."
