Artspace111 presents Danville Chadbourne: "Recent Works" opening reception
Artspace111 will present an exhibition of recent work by artist Danville Chadbourne. Chadbourne’s organic totems and wall sculptures, formed from earthen materials, emulate organisms found and unfound in our natural world. The artist's prolific career has yielded an expansive body of work that faithfully uses simple design to express a complex exploration of origin and consciousness. The exhibit will be on display through December 7.
Riscky's 90th Anniversary Celebration
All month long, Riscky's BBQ has been celebrating its 90th anniversary with different specials at its three area locations. The celebration will culminate on Thursday with a party at the Stockyards Station location featuring 90-cent chopped beef sandwiches, free barbecue samples, craft beer from Rahr, a live radio remote, and more. Limited edition 90th anniversary T-shirts and glassware and other fun stuff will be raffled off.
Streams & Valleys presents Friends of the River Bash
Friends of the River Bash is Streams & Valleys' largest annual event. It starts off with a run, walk, or stroll with friends and pets along the Trinity River, followed by a great party at Heart of the Ranch at Clearfork. The party will feature live music from BoomTown Band and samples of food, beer, and wine from some of the best restaurants in town.

Magnolia at the Modern presents Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House
Forty-five years after the events themselves and 41 years after the Oscar-winning All the President's Men, the story of Watergate is told again in Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House. Starring Liam Neeson and Diane Lane, it chronicles the personal and professional life of Mark Felt, aka "Deep Throat," who risked and ultimately sacrificed everything in the name of justice. The film will screen six times through Sunday at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
Modern Art Museum presents Modern 'til Midnight: Haunt
Also at the Modern is this one-of-a-kind museum event that includes live performances on the lawn by The Bright Light Social Hour, Israel Nash, Atlantis Aquarius, and Vodeo. During late-night hours, guests will have the opportunity to explore the exhibition "Misty Keasler: Haunt,” join spotlight tours, enjoy spinning, dancing, and other artful antics from Ronnie Heart in the Grand Lobby, and dine on exceptional cuisine from Café Modern and the Modern Grill.
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra presents A Hero's Life
For this performance by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, conductor Miguel-Harth Bedoya has personally selected music from Grieg’s ubiquitous Peer Gynt suite. The concert will include “Morning Mood,” “In the Hall of the Mountain King,” and “Anitra’s Dance,” among other selections. There will be three performances at Bass Performance Hall through Sunday.

Bell Helicopter Fort Worth Alliance Air Show
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron and the U.S. Air Force F-16 Viper Demonstration Team will soar through the skies at the Bell Helicopter Fort Worth Alliance Air Show. Taking place at Fort Worth Alliance Airport on Saturday and Sunday, the world-class air show also includes the Bell 429, U.S. Air Force Heritage Flight, Patriot Parachute Team, Shockwave Jet Truck, and more.
Amphibian Stage Productions presents New Play Festival: Off Your Feet
For the first time, the people who call the street home are the storytellers in the new documentary theater piece, Off Your Feet. Built from Ashley Brooke Monroe's personal interviews with the members of society most often overlooked, the play shifts between humor and the bleak reality of being homeless. The play, presented at Amphibian Stage Productions on Saturday and Sunday, is an illuminating exploration of humanity when we face the mercy of the elements and the kindness or cruelty of strangers.

The British Emporium presents 2017 Doctor Who Day
The Doctor Who TV series has been very popular with customers of The British Emporium, and the store will celebrate the show with this event, featuring photo opportunities, costume contests, video screenings, and more. It's a great opportunity for fans of the show to meet other fans, affectionately known as “Whovians.”
Flying Saucer Fort Worth presents Pumpkin Carving Contest
In advance of Halloween on Tuesday, Flying Saucer will present its Fifth Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest, benefiting the Tarrant Area Food Bank. With a $10 donation, guests will receive a pumpkin, a carving kit, and an ice-cold Martin House Brewing Company beer. The event will feature face-painting fun and candy for kids. Guests can also help get a jump start on the holiday season by donating canned goods for hungry families in Fort Worth.
