1. Amusement park with 'dry' slides coasts into DFW with Denton opening. A slippery slidey new entertainment venue is coming to town: Called Slick City Action Park, it's an indoor slide and activity venue that just opened in Denton, in a former trampoline park at 2434 S I-35 E. #140.
2. Cousin's BBQ team to debut upscale new restaurant in SW Fort Worth. The Mont is an upscale New American concept from Cousin's BBQ owner Jeff Payne and Cousin's VP Jason Cross. The restaurant will open in the Montserrat neighborhood in southwest Fort Worth in winter.
3. Fort Worth Botanic Garden plants veggie crops for new community garden. The Fort Worth Botanic Garden is getting into community gardening. They've set aside an area called the Backyard Vegetable Garden, located near the top of the Rose Garden and off the beaten path. Crops will benefit residents at Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County.
4. Mr. Gatti's Pizza unrolls restaurant-buffet-game room in SW Fort Worth. Mr Gatti's Pizza, a pizzeria-family entertainment center, opened at 5203 McCart Ave. #205 with an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet, dessert pizzas, a salad bar, and a 7,500-square-foot game room with more than 40 arcade games.
5. Austin chain Chuy's Tex-Mex brings Elvis enchiladas to west Fort Worth. Austin Tex-Mex chain Chuy’s Tex-Mex has opened a new location in Hudson Oaks, a fun and friendly spot to eat Tex-Mex at a great price.
