These are the 10 best things to do in Fort Worth this weekend
It would be really nice if the predicted snow/ice on Saturday didn't happen, because this weekend all around Fort Worth has some great events happening. In addition to the continuing Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, choices include screenings of a new film, a new local theater production, four concerts (including country, rock, and classical), two comedians, and the closing of two notable art exhibitions.

Magnolia at the Modern: H is for Hawk
H is for Hawk follows Helen (Claire Foy), who, after the sudden death of her father (Brendan Gleeson), loses herself in the memories of their time birding and exploring the natural world together. She turns to the ancient art of falconry - rooted in European tradition - and begins training a wild goshawk named Mabel to navigate her profound loss. But as she teaches Mabel to hunt and fly free, Helen discovers how deeply she has neglected her own emotions and life. What begins as an act of endurance transforms into an intimate journey of resilience and healing. The film will screen seven times through Sunday at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
Casa Mañana presents The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition
Dorothy and Toto journey down the Yellow Brick Road in The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition. When a tornado sweeps Dorothy away to the magical land of Oz, she must find a way to get home to Kansas. Along with a Scarecrow, Tinman, and Cowardly Lion, Dorothy sets off to see the Wizard of Oz and enlist his help. Featuring classic songs, including “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” this beloved musical is a timeless tale of friendship, courage, and finding your way home. The production runs through February 15 at Casa Mañana.
Colter Wall and Friends in concert
Colter Wall is a Canadian singer-songwriter with a deep and knowing voice. He started learning guitar at the age of 13, playing the music of rock bands such as AC/DC, Black Sabbath, and Led Zeppelin. He later moved on to folk music, placing equal importance on crafting songs as well as carrying older songs into the present day. He'll play as part of the Fort Worth Stock Show Auditorium Entertainment Series at Will Rogers Auditorium on Friday and Saturday in support of his 2025 album, Memories and Empties, joined by Hayden Redwine. Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra presents "FWSO Stars: Stas Chernyshev and Joshua Elmore Play Strauss"
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra principal clarinet Stas Chernyshev join principal bassoon Joshua Elmore for the Duet-Concertino by Richard Strauss. The concert begins with Felix Mendelssohn’s Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage, and the program concludes with Schumann’s optimistic second symphony. There will be three performances through Sunday at Bass Performance Hall.
Improv Arlington presents Preacher Lawson
Comedian Preacher Lawson is best known for his appearance on season 12 of America's Got Talent, where he made it to the final round. He went on to compete on America's Got Talent: The Champions and Britain's Got Talent: The Champions, where he advanced to the finale after receiving the most fan votes. He can be seen on HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show and NBC’s Connecting. He'll perform five times through Sunday at Improv Arlington.
Hyena's presents Mike E. Winfield
Comedian Mike E. Winfield has raked up credits such as The Late Show with David Letterman, a reoccurring role on NBC’s The Office, Brad Paisley’s Comedy Rodeo on Netflix, and more. He is best known for appearing on America's Got Talent in 2022 and for receiving a golden buzzer on America's Got Talent: All-Stars in 2023. He'll perform four times through Saturday at Hyena's Comedy Nightclub.

Not Stock featuring The Smithereens
Not Stock is annual rock/indie music concert designed to contrast with the typically country-heavy concerts taking place in Fort Worth. The fourth annual event will feature performances by headliners The Smithereens, as well as Deep Blue Something, The Nixons, and more. The concert takes place at Tulips.
Pat Green in concert
After rising through Texas' dancehall scene years ago, Pat Green earned himself major label support in Nashville and became the poster child of Texas music for a whole generation of fans. Green’s explosive live shows have made him a fan favorite, and the San Antonio native has sold over two million albums and been nominated for three Grammy Awards. His most recent album is 2022's Miles and Miles of You. He'll play at Billy Bob's Texas.

Kimbell Art Museum presents "Myth and Marble: Ancient Roman Sculpture from the Torlonia Collection" closing day
Sunday will be the final day to view the North American tour of "Myth and Marble: Ancient Roman Sculpture from the Torlonia Collection" at Kimbell Art Museum. The major exhibition of ancient Roman masterworks marks the first time these works have been shown outside of Europe. Selections from the Collection, assembled and stewarded by the Torlonia Family beginning in the early-19th century, are in Fort Worth as part of the Foundation’s mission to showcase the extraordinary historical works to the public.
Amon Carter Museum of American Art presents "American Modernism from the Charles Butt Collection" closing day
Sunday will also be the final day to view "American Modernism from the Charles Butt Collection" at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art. The first exhibition dedicated to the collection of businessman, philanthropist, and Texas native Charles Butt, it brings together over 75 works by by American modernist icons like Edward Hopper, Alice Neel, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Andrew Wyeth, recontextualizing the multifold histories of American art by sharing Butt’s vision of American creativity and opening his collection to the public for the first time.
