Wednesday, November 1
Wine-Up Wednesday at Silver Fox
Guests can play sommelier by sampling five wines paired with hors d’oeuvres. The favored wine will win a place on the Silver Fox menu for the month. November’s contenders include a syrah from Chile, cabernets from Spain and South Africa, a Grenache from France and a red blend from Australia. The sipping and sampling begins at 5 pm, and tickets are $20.
Thursday, November 2
Dia de los Muertos Pint Night at Taco Heads
Day of the Dead costumes are encouraged for this post-Halloween party at Taco Heads, where patrons can pay $12 for two specialty tacos and a pint glass (yours to keep) of Rahr & Sons beer. Featured beers will be Rahr’s Blonde and the highly coveted, limited edition Bourbon Barrel Aged Winter Warmer. There’ll also be live music by the Squeezebox Bandits. The event will run from 6-8 pm.
Bar Bites at Cannon Chinese Kitchen
Seats will go quickly for this tasty event at the charming South Fort Worth restaurant, which is situated in a beautifully renovated home. For $25, guests will receive a three-course tasting from the Chinese-inspired bar bites menu paired with three wines. Seating will be semi-private in Cannon’s “cloud room,” and the event will begin promptly at 6:30 pm.
Friday, November 3
Fall Harvest Patio Wine Dinner at Grace
Parsnip ice cream, anyone? It’s a menu filled with autumnal inspiration at Grace’s annual fall patio dinner, where guests will be treated to five courses paired with wines. Make reservations now for sweet potato soup, Maine diver scallops with spaghetti squash and cinnamon butter, and a cassoulet of bacon and lamb sausages, pork belly and chicken confit. The event begins with a champagne reception at 6:30 pm, and reservations are $99, excluding tax and gratuity.
Saturday, November 4
Rahr & Sons Brewing Co. 13th Anniversary Party
It’s lucky number 13 for Fort Worth’s pioneering craft brewery, and party guests get to reap the benefits with a whopping 13 pours during the Saturday event. More than 30 specialty beers will available for the extravaganza, and there’ll be live music by Eleven Hundred Springs and Big Mike. Tickets are $25 and the celebration runs from 11 am-3 pm.
Sunday, November 5
Buffalo Bros. Turns 10
Owned by chef Jon Bonnell and known for pizza and wings, the college hangout will celebrate its 10th anniversary with giveaways, birthday cake, and a concert by Poo Live Crew. Prizes include a $1,000 gift card, food, and beer. Patrons can add their name to the drawing with every visit through November 4. The drawings and concert will start at 6:30 pm after the Dallas Cowboys game.
