Feeling a little budget crunched? This is your week. A downtown Fort Worth hotel will host multiple complimentary tequila tastings this week. In Grapevine, a beef company will serve up free 55-day dry-aged burgers at a brewery. And at a hot chicken sandwich shop in far north Fort Worth, customers will get a coupon for a free sandwich as part of a grand opening celebration. Tequila Tastings at Toro Toro
The Worthington hotel restaurant will host three days of complimentary tequila tastings in the lobby, starting with Maestro Dobel on Wednesday. On Thursday, sample spirits from Codigo Tequila (George Strait is part owner), then wrap up the week with Casa Azul tequila soda sampling on Friday. All tastings will take place from 5-7 pm. Bonus that valet is always complimentary for Toro Toro guests.

Designer Beef “Meat” & Greet at Hop and Sting
The Grapevine craft brewery will welcome Designer Beef, a Texas-based beef provider that'll be on-site for complimentary 55-day dry-aged prime burgers. That’s right, free burgers. Buy a beer to wash it down while there and take advantage of promotional pricing for custom beef packages. There’ll also be a drawing for a 60-day dry-aged prime bone-in tomahawk steak. Visit from 4-8 pm.

HCK Hot Chicken Grand Opening
The Virginia-based, Nashville-inspired hot chicken chain will celebrate the grand opening of its first Texas location, in far north Fort Worth at 6600 N. Freeway, Suite 128 (at I-35 and Western Center). The shop will feature $5 sandwiches all day (one per customer), plus every guest will get a coupon for a free sandwich with any purchase on a future visit. Customers can also register to win free sandwiches for a year. In addition to the signature hot chicken sandwiches, menu items include chicken salad, chicken tenders, chicken and waffles, chicken wings, and chicken mac and cheese. The restaurant opens at 11 am.
Sour Fest at Martin House Brewing Company
Get ready to pucker up when the Riverside brewery presents 15 sour brews for sampling and sipping. Four new ones will include Rocket Pop Sour Seltzer, Sonic the Hedgehog Sour Cherry Blue Raz Seltzer, Tiger’s Blood Beer, and Melted Strawberry Shortcake Pop Sour Smoothie. The event also includes live music, craft vendors, and a sour food eating contest. Wristbands will be sold for $20, good for a pint glass and four beers. The event will run from 12-5 pm.
Cookbook Club at Indulge
The culinary studio inside 3rd Street Market downtown will host a cookbook-inspired potluck dinner. The featured book is I Dream of Dinner (so you don’t have to) by Ali Slagle. Make a dish at home from the book, then bring it to share with others who’ll do the same. Participants will have access to Indulge’s oven if any reheating is necessary. The cost is $10 and the potluck will begin at 5 pm.
