New report puts these Texas universities among world's best

A new study cements the University of Texas at Austin's status as one the best. In its 2015 report, the Center for World University Rankings puts UT Austin at No. 22 in the U.S. and No. 30 in the world.
CWUR analyzed the world's top 1,000 universities based on eight factors. Quality of education, alumni employment, and quality of faculty were weighted at 25 percent each. Publications, influence, citations, broad impact, and patents were weighted at 5 percent each.
UT Austin dropped one spot on the list; in 2014, UT ranked No. 29 in the world. Two Texas schools join UT in the top 100: University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center ranks No. 75, and University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center ranks No. 90.
Six other Texas institutions rank among the top 200 in the world: Texas A&M University (102), Rice University (120), Baylor College of Medicine (121), University of Texas at Dallas (139), Southern Methodist University (142), and University of Houston (184).
