1. DFW chain Hoffbrau Steak & Grill closes location after barely a year. In the push-and-pull of Hoffbrau steakhouse news, the Grapevine location of Hoffbrau Steak & Grill House has closed. According to a post from the restaurant, its last day was Sunday, February 18.
2. Fun new sushi ramen restaurant with BYOB revives Fort Worth's Race St. A fresh destination for sushi and ramen is breathing new life into Race Street: Called Kingyo Sushi & Ramen House, it just opened at 2813 Race St., in the craftsman home that was previously Tributary Cafe, which shuttered in August after seven years.

Fort Worth's most beloved neighborhood restaurants are close and convenient and offer a feeling of home that keeps regulars coming back over and over again. 4. Fort Worth BBQ restaurant Sausage Shoppe On The Go to open new location. A long-running Fort Worth barbecue restaurant known for its awesome sausage is expanding: Sausage Shoppe On the Go, a family-owned restaurant in business 30 years, is opening a bigger, better spinoff at 3914 Miller Ave. on the city’s east side.
5. Fort Worth fried chicken restaurant Rocket Roosters opens in ex-BBQ spot. A new restaurant focused on fried chicken has landed in Fort Worth. Called Rocket Roosters, it’s a new concept devised by local real estate investors and restaurant newbies Joshua Galbreath and Vickie Kandasamy. The restaurant is at 7709 Camp Bowie W. Blvd., in the building formerly occupied by Billy's Oak Acres BBQ and Poppin Fresh Bbq and Soulfood.
