3. Roanoke music-sports bar from country star Randy Rogers calls it quits. A Roanoke restaurant-bar and live music venue with celebrity ties has closed: ChopShop Live, which opened at 307 S. Oak St, with country music star Randy Rogers behind the wheel, closed its doors November 1, six years after it opened.
4. Opening date rises for biscuit & chicken restaurant in Fort Worth. The chicken & biscuits are finally (almost) here: Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken, which specializes in fried chicken and biscuits made throughout the day, is ready to open its first location in Fort Worth. Rise Fort Worth, located at 7064 Blue Mound Rd. in Victory Shops in Basswood, across from Saginaw High School, will open November 23.
5. Calif pizza chain proud of its curly pepperoni opens in Mansfield. A California-based chain known for its mountain-sized pizzas is now open in Mansfield: Mountain Mike’s Pizza has opened a location at 1670 E Broad St., at the corner of US 287, an extremely buzzy location which is also home to an H-E-B supermarket that opened there in June.
