Fort Worth chef Tim Love to open music hall and tavern at Stockyards
Fort Worth chef Tim Love is opening a new venue in the Stockyards district that will combine live music, restaurant, and private event space. Called Tannahill's Tavern & Music Hall, it'll open in the heart of Fort Worth’s Stockyards in the historic Horse and Mule Barns of the Mule Alley redevelopment.
According to a release, it will open in 2022.
Named for Love’s son, the venue will have a capacity of up to 1,000, with three VIP suites, each with 20 seats. It'll come with state-of-the-art audio and lighting, plus kitchen facilities that can accommodate pre-event dining, concert concessions, and special event meals for up to 500, such as weddings and corporate events.
The facility will be booked by Live Nation, and will host "well-known and aspiring performing artists from across multiple musical genres," the release says.
The venue comprises nearly 26,000 square feet, with a main stage, restaurant, branded merchandise retail shop, and double-sided bar to serve both tavern patrons and concertgoers on the main floor. A mezzanine upstairs holds the VIP suites, plus a separate lounge area and private bar, with views of the main stage.
A calendar of concerts will be announced at a later date.
Love is already pretty entrenched in the Stockyards with the Lonesome Dove Western Bistro, White Elephant Saloon, Love Shack, Atico, and the newly opened Paloma Suerte. In fact, they should really rename it "Tim Love's Stockyards."
In addition, he has entertainment connections through Love Management, Inc., including an alignment with music festivals like Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo, as well as holding the title of official chef for Austin City Limits and co-founder of Austin Food & Wine. The release says he recently formed a partnership with Live Nation, where he will debut Woodshed Smokehouse outlets at select venues, including Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas.
"Our team is thrilled to bring our 20-year knowledge of the Stockyards and our extensive hospitality and live music experience to add another layer of richness to Fort Worth’s legendary, robust live music scene," Love says in a statement. "We are very grateful to have Live Nation as our booking partner—we plan to bring some incredible acts to Fort Worth."
